Back-to-School Prayer Guide for Parents: Praying Over Your Kids During the First Week of School (Day Two)

Day 2: Teachers

Scripture:
“And I will give you shepherds after my own heart, who will feed you with knowledge and understanding.” – Jeremiah 3:15

Prayer Points:

• Pray for your child’s teachers to have strength and wisdom as they lead their classes.
• Pray that God would give your child’s teachers discernment, compassion, and joy that passes all understanding, even on hard days.
• Pray for understanding and good communication between you and the teachers, that as a team you would be able support your child’s academic development.

Practical Tip:
Send a note of encouragement or a small token of appreciation during the first week of school and let the teacher k now you are praying for them. Also, ask your child to join you in prayer for their teachers, modeling how to pray for those in authority.
